Cypress Cove Care Center has a team of individuals who are licensed in Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy. The team will personalize your transitional goals based on your needs and prior functional level.

Our physical therapy programs are tailored to each patient to regain strength, improve mobility, manage pain, or adapt to a disability. Physical therapy typically works on the lower body including standing and walking.

Our team of speech therapists will work to ensure cognitive training, expressive language, receptive language, swallowing, eating skills, voice training, speech, alternative communication systems, and memory strategies are at the forefront of recovery. Speech therapy usually works on recovery from the head down to the neck.

Our occupational therapy programs are designed to make the activities of daily living easier and more comfortable for each patient. We work with patients to varying degrees to make sure they are equipped for everyday life whether they are recovering from a stroke or injury, need assistance managing chronic pain, or living with a developmental disability.

Occupational therapy works on all your activities of daily living including getting yourself dressed, grooming, bathing, eating, meal preparation, etc.

The Director of Nursing not only knew her field of labor – inside out, she knew how to care for family members.

All of them have been very good about keeping in touch with me. If she acts a little bit odd or if they know that she might have an infection, they are automatically sending things out for tests to check her. They do nail care, her hair, she’s always dressed, they have music (even bought her harmonica to play) they go fishing, movie time, and other things.
